On May 18, 2017 in Memphis, TN surrounded by love, Deborah Conley Cole, aged 68, completed her journey here on earth and now rests peacefully in the arms of her heavenly Father after a brief struggle with cancer. Debbie was born July 18, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, MO, the daughter of the late Pharis Conley and Ruth Stephens Conley, still of Piggott, AR.

She grew up in Pollard, AR on her parent's farm. As a child, she played piano and sang for Baptist conventions. She loved riding horses and spent everyday on horseback, either riding alone or on trail rides with her dad and friends. She would often be found playing in the creek with friends Mitchell Holifield, Joan Brent Gossett, Georgetta Pike Howell, her cousin Kathy O'Dell Neasham, among others.

In recent years, she dreamed of retiring to the countryside where she would have rebuilt her grandparent's home while raising baby goats and watching them play, as she sipped sweet tea on her back porch. Debbie thoroughly enjoyed discussing politics and was incredibly passionate about reading as many books she could get her hands on. Her most treasured accomplishment was raising the true loves of her life, her 3 boys.

Debbie is survived by her mother Ruth; her brothers Jon and Kole (Karen); her sons Brad (Jennifer), Jonathan (Meridith) and Justin (Ingrid); her grandchildren Madison, Miller, Mason and Maggie; her nieces Kailyn (TJ) and Whitney (Logan); her nephew Bryce; and an abundance of loving friends, both old and new.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017. There will be a visitation at the Dignity Memorial Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis from 9 to 10:30 AM, followed by another at the New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard, AR from 3 to 4 PM on the same day.
Immediately following the Pollard visitation, Debbie will be laid to rest near her dear father at the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR with a graveside service at 4 PM.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her, visited with her and sent so many loving prayers during her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the American Civil Liberties Union.
